Guys i read the other day on yahoo news that sony pictures has bought the distribution rights to the film and that it should hit theaters this upcoming summer.

yes, definitely good news....2 things though....i have to wait til next summer and will it even be shown in wide release?....we have a theatre around corner that shows alot of 'avant-garde' documentaries that the old folks here in S Fla love - but unfortunately I think the subject matter may limit it's showing here....

The theatres here won't show it though. :( That is certain.

I might just have to wait until it's at the video store, then just buy it.

umm since it is a sony pictures classic im going to say maybe...
BUt like you said it is a documentary so it might only be a limited release followed by a wide...

Most films cost about 1000 dollars to run and some can go up to 5000 and some theaters might not be willing to pay the rental fees. and the cost also goes down weekly so it depends.
